It meets or exceeds performance requirements of all OEM engines (Toro, Briggs and Stratton, KOLHER, Honda, and Tecumseh). The oil protects the engine by not only lubricating, but also cooling, cleaning and seaing internal moving parts. No additional additives are needed or recommended.
